At Old Virginia Woodworking we love working with wood and take pride in doing exceptional woodworking with quality materials. We design and build new projects to suit your space and architecture. We also restore antique or well-worn pieces.

We confidently design and build very large tables and doors to meet your needs. We use traditional hardwoods as well as African Sapele which has proven to be a rich looking wood with the durability of white oak. We offer additional features such as custom insets which will highlight your project as genuinely handmade and completely unique.

We have a pine coffee table that was damaged by a decoration that caught fire and burned a portion of the top of the table. We had heard good things about Old Virginia Woodworking, so we contacted Don and took the table to him to evaluate. After thinking about it a few days, we authorized the repair/restoration. He did a beautiful job and gave us back a table that looked almost new. I am thankful for his expertise and willingness to take on this task. My wife and I highly recommend Old Virginia Woodworking.

Don did a wonderful job on the two pieces brought to him. The pie safe (pictured) needed some major TLC and Don came through with flying colors. It looks great for a piece from 1720!

We wanted a specially designed hutch for our computer, printer, and files. We had searched numerous sites online to try and buy one without success. I was very pleased with the results of my repair project. A door broke off of my end table (the pin broke) and Don was able to remove the broken piece of the pin and build new ones. Very happy with the results!

My antiques were SHATTERED in a recent move. The china cabinet couldn't even "stand." (It had to be placed upside down. So, not only were my antiques unusable, I thought their value was gone. HOWEVER, within a short period of time, understanding, and EXPERTISE my antiques are now home. You cannot even tell anything was ever wrong with them! I HIGHLY recommend OLD VIRGINIA WOODWORKING. Five stars is not enough. I give them 100 stars or even more. Thank you, OLD VIRGINIA WOODWORKING. I cried when I saw their work (and hugged the woodworker). P.S. NEVER use Nationwide Movers or Jackson Movers.

I took a family piece to him. My buffet turned out beautifully. He is a really nice person. If you have a piece of furniture that needs repair, I highly recommended him. He even gave me direction on how to make a China cabinet that my father made to go with the buffet match in color. I am extremely happy I found this business.
