We confidently design and build very large tables and doors to meet your needs. We use traditional hardwoods as well as African Sapele which has proven to be a rich looking wood with the durability of white oak. We offer additional features such as custom insets which will highlight your project as genuinely handmade and completely unique.

Don at Old Virginia Woodworking did an EXCELLENT job stripping layers of paint from our 100+year old doors and refinishing them back into their natural, orignial look. He was extremely professional and communicative throughout the process and I cannot recommend him high enough. He is a true craftsman of the woodworking trade and I assure you after visiting his shop, he can undertake any woordworking job one might have!! Don gave me a fair estimate for repairing an antique Head and Foot Board. He repaired the items and there like new. He required half down and finished the project in record time. I'm very pleased with his work and highly recommend his business for ant wood repair or refinishing.

Don did a wonderful job on an old antique Brunswick phonograph cabinet. There was some wooden shelves and supports that needed to be rebuilt and at 100+ years old it needed a little refinishing. The color came out great and it was a joy talking with him about the project.

I recently moved to Tennessee and in the process of moving, somehow one of the legs on my buffet broke right off! I was heartbroken to think it was destroyed and unusable. Found Don online and was quickly gotten in and repaired like new! Just a few days and he was done, even though I know he had other projects he was working on. I'm very happy to have been able to put it to use again! Great work and very pleasant to deal with!

Don repaired and refinished a 65-year-old dining table that had chips, cuts, and uneven finish. I can now display the table in my home without a tablecloth covering it! Don was also easy to work with and contact. There were no unexpected additional costs or delays. Thank you, Don!
